Help us send deserving BYU students abroad!

Meet Joey Tirado-Grundvig, a first-generation college student who assumed that studying abroad would never be an option for him due to limited finances. Through a conversation with a friend, he learned about the Global Opportunity Scholarship, which provided him the ability to study in London and learn more about the world. That experience ultimately prepared him for his first job after graduation.

At the Kennedy Center, we believe that experiences like these are important for EVERY BYU student, which is why we created the Global Opportunity Scholarship fund which provides up to $5,000 for a student's first academic experience abroad.

This scholarship differs from others in that it can fund BYU students from ANY major and ANY college on campus, and it is one of the few scholarships that is open to international students. Since its creation in 2015, the Global Opportunity Scholarship has funded over 400 students from 100+ different majors and all 11 colleges on campus.
